  1. If you love cats, or any animals for that matter, avoid the majority of animal cafes in Japan (& other Asian countries). It’s all about money & how to make as much of it as possible, rather than the welfare of the animals you’re seeing. Ever thought about what happens when those doors close after the last customer leaves?
And why does it not occur to people that large quantities of cats in one place, with complete strangers coming in & out, is not a recipe for disaster?! In case you’re unaware.. not all kitties get on, amazing right?! All of their personalities differ just like humans personalities differ. Some prefer their own company, or a quiet place to relax & sleep.. which is utterly impossible when they’re forced to surround themselves with fellow boisterous kitties jumping on them all day long, & strangers trying to pet or cuddle them.
A lot of these places don’t take the cats needs into consideration, many don’t receive the veterinary care they need, a sufficient diet.. let alone a decent & safe space to sleep & exercise freely.

If you’re looking for a few somewhat ‘ok’ animal cafes, here’s a link to some suggestions – however, if you can go to bunny or cat island, where they all roam free – that’s the best place to get your fix.

  2. I'd love to go there! I'm the most biggest cat lover you'll ever meet or hear from in this lifetime! -I had 3 "Hemingway" calico cats with Polydactyl (6 fingers) paws. They were so beautiful. I miss them so much!😭💔

  3. I love cats and dogs, but I would imagine lots of cat and dog hair getting into my food if I ate at a restaurant crawling with them. Also, cats and dogs can have accidents such as coughing up fur balls, vomiting, urinating and pooping…No thanks.
