  2. OMG, TOASTED RAVIOLI, invented and oh-so-crazy-popular in ST. LOUIS (for the past 50 years) are so, so, sooooooooo yummy & I'm SUPER EXCITED (but SOOOOOO SURPRISED that it's taken THIS LONG!!) that they're ••F•I•N•A•L•L•Y•• branching out of STL!! Toasted Ravs are LITERALLY a "staple app," on the menu in basically EVERY SINGLE ITALIAN RESTAURANT IN STL & probably in MO! And HERE'S how they were "accidentally invented "……..

We've got an "All Italian" area/neighborhood in South St. Louis called "The Hill" ((see https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Hill,_St._Louisa to learn more….it's a SUPER NEAT PLACE!)) that's chockablock full of Italian owned & run businesses, from grocery stores to bakeries to restaurants, etc., & they LITERALLY ONNNNLLLYYYYYYY LET FULL-BLOODED ITALIANS buy properties & move in//live there! You'll find St. Louis' VERY, VERY BEST Italian restaurants, in all price points, from sandwich shops to fine dining. This is where "TOASTED RAVIOLI," "TOASTED RAVS" or "T-RAVS" were invented. There are LOADS of different "claims" as to who the ORIGINAL INVENTOR was, dating as far back as 1947, but they're basically all the same story…..just different dates, different players/people who invented it, different restaurants, etc……all were on "The Hill" and all involved a chef or restaurant owner "accidentally" dropping the Ravs into the deep fat fryer INSTEAD of in a pot of boiling water…..& one story goes that baseball great Joe Garigiola's older brother was the first one to ever taste Toasted Ravs as he was sitting at the bar in one such claim & said "NO! Don't throw those away, give'em here, they're probably GREAT!" And thus TOASTED RAVIOLI WAS BORN & would very soon grace every menu of The Hill's restaurants & shortly thereafter, every Italian restaurants' menus in Missouri! Here's another interesting wiki page to read, IF YOU'RE SO INCLINED…… https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Toasted_ravioli

Sorry for such a long post, but they're just SOOOOOOOOO YUMMALISCIOUS & it's about time they're KNOWN & eaten EVERYWHERE!!😊👍🏼HaPpY EaTiNg!!👍🏼😊
