  1. I saw the Karen Carpenter Story at its premiere way back in the day and thought it was a great -MOVIE. However,as a biographical account of Karens life, it has been responsible for much misinformation during the last 30 years.

  2. I was excited when this movie came out, but have been more disappointed with it over the years. I wish Cynthia could have had more time to research Karen, and get her personality and movements down better. And the person in charge of wigs should have been fired. They never once in the movie had a wig that was even close to the way Karen wore her hair. It's almost like the wig person didn't even know who The Carpenters were,..and why didn't Richard say something?!? I guess he's more of a perfectionist in the recording studio…

  3. I really don't know what to make of Richard.. If you want to hear what may have went on in her life… Check out the book LITTLE GIRL BLUE… Someone saw the Karen Carpenter Story and decided to do a book on her.. When the family would not talk about her.. Her friends came forward to tell her story…. I do have to give props to Cyntha for trying to tell her story..

  4. Pretty good look-alikes who can also act. There have been a few made-for-TV movies depicting the rises and falls of popular singers or teen idol of the early 1970s and it is hard to find someone who looks like the person being depicted who also is a good actor.
